Cote d Ivoire sights
Another interesting part of Ivory coast is the Henry Konan Bedie bridge. It could be said to be the third mainland bridge complimenting the earlier existing bridges. Just like Lagos that had the Eko bridge and Carter bridge, but due rising population and traffic congestion, a third mainland bridge was constructed.
Abidjan also had Houphouet Boigny bridge and Charles de Gaulle bridge which were heavily congested at high traffic periods and almost through out the day .The Henry Konan Bedie bridge was
constructed to ease traffic on the earlier 2 bridges. It was partly financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and was opened in December 2014.Unlike the lagos third mainland bridge it has tolls, for small cars the toll is 500 cfa. The pictures are from the Marcory end of the bridge
