Akin Adesola street in Victoria Island lagos is under reconstruction and causing heavy traffic gridlock from Victoria Island through Ikoyi ,Osborne up to Third Mainland Bridge.Getting to Victoria Island in the mornings is so stressful making getting to work for most Lagosians a nightmare. Due to the construction works going on,one lane of the ever busy Akin Adesola street was
closed down. When coming from Ikoyi into Victoria Island and descending Falomo bridge the road leading to Adeola Odeku,Bar Beach has been closed and all traffic diverted to join Ozumba Mbadiwe Road. Lagosians have been crying out to the Lagos state government to do something fast about the situation most Island workers get to the office after 8.00 am in the morning, some times close to 9.00 am in the morning, making them to loose productive hours. The state Government responded by posting more policemen on the roads, but that has not solved the problem of traffic gridlock.Until this major road is opened it seems lagosians will continue to live the long hours on the road
